My website is LIVE!
I feel like I’ve been working up to this point for a while now, so it seems surreal for it to finally be here! I created my website to be a hub for all things Designs by KLM. It has everything from my story and about me, to my portfolio with my patterns and illustrations. I also will have all my blog posts housed there and have a shop page that contains the links to where I sell my products. I am most proud of my flip book portfolio, which showcases my best work! Future Plans
With it being the end of the year and six months into running my design business, I’ve been reflecting on what I want to achieve in the next six months to a year. I created my website as a gateway to my artwork and will be pitching my portfolio to companies looking to license art. I also want to get more of my work onto Spoonflower.com. If you haven’t heard of Spoonflower before, it is a website that artists can upload their artwork onto unique products, like wallpaper and bolts of fabric. While I may not know people personally who would purchase from Spoonflower, it’s very popular with interior designers and art licensing companies, which is a perfect audience for what I want to do. I will still be uploading my designs to my RedBubble shop and FourthWall website as well! I will eventually integrate my FourthWall listings into my website, but I am in no rush.

Vote for my design!
Another thing Spoonflower is known for are their Design Challenges! Spoonflower will create a prompt for artists to use to design a pattern. The one I entered in most recently is for Vintage Florals. If you’re interested in voting for my Vintage Poppies pattern, click this link. It’s not a direct link to my design, but you can use ctrl-f to search for designsbyklm on the page! Vote for any designs you feel like! There are some incredible artists who submit to these challenges. I’m constantly in awe at the talent displayed!
